Base Wars Tier Lists
Weapons, vehicles, and armor ranked for CTF, facilities, and Skirmish chaos.
How to read Base Wars tier lists
Base Wars meta is not a single ladder. A gun that shreds on Classic Battlefield hallways can feel average on The Land’s open approaches, and a Battle Tank that owns ground fights still loses value if your team never contests vehicle spawns. This hub ties three rankings together so you unlock with purpose instead of dumping Battle Score into every shiny crate.
Start here, then dive into the detailed pages:
- Weapons tier list — assault rifles, SMGs, snipers, shotguns, VIP guns like Uber Chaingun and Epic Striker, plus chase kits (MTs-255, Holofoil, FX lines)
- Vehicles tier list — Vortex, Shadow, attack helicopters, Battle Tank, MAC Tank, and support options
- Armor tier list — Uber, Extreme, Light / EXO Tactical Cloak, Assassin Cloak, Challenger glass cannons
Pair rankings with the loadout planner, maps guide, and Vehicle armor so your S-tier pick matches the mode—and the plate face—you actually queue. Chase unlock routes sit on Quest weapons; anniversary FX pass context sits on Anniversary VIP.
Ranking criteria we use
Tiers on this wiki emphasize public matches with mixed skill, not only duel simulations:
- Objective impact — Does the tool help capture flags, hold facilities, or deny vehicle pushes?
- Skill floor vs ceiling — Can average players get value, or only experts?
- Unlock cost / VIP gate — Battle Score price and whether Uber VIP, anniversary VIP, or other passes are required
- Counterplay — Softness to flares, smoke, armor piercing, directional rear shots, or air superiority
- Patch resilience — Kits that survive balance waves (new Rebel variants, Holofoil quests, weapon tweaks)
S-tier means “bring often.” A-tier means “strong with a plan.” B-tier is situational. Lower tiers can still be fun challenge runs—Challenger’s Armour style picks exist specifically to raise difficulty while boosting score gains.
Weapons meta snapshot
Infantry still decides most close facility scrapes. Flexible assault rifles and carbines carry general play; SMGs and shotguns punish indoor Peak corridors; snipers and anti-materiel options punish exposed jeep routes and repair campers. VIP and chase standouts:
- Uber Chaingun — volume of fire for suppressing infantry and light vehicles once Uber VIP is owned (free via attendance or purchased historically)
- Epic Striker / guided rocket family — vehicle punishment when you land tracking shots
- Chase / quest guns — MTs-255, FX-Frostbite, Holofoil Voltonic, FX-Abyss, FX-Leviathan, ARC SPDR-25b, HNY Mortar, Blizzard HMG, and friends—see weapons and quest weapons
Always check Updates and Recent patches before obsessing over a single gun—patches regularly retune RPM, slug accuracy, and Rebel pressure covered on Rebels.
Vehicles meta snapshot
Air power and heavy armor define map control when teams spawn them correctly:
- Vortex — peak agility hover jet; still the default answer for map presence (mind flight ceilings)
- Shadow — faster forward speed, laser-guided rockets after reworks; excellent alternative once mastered
- Attack Helicopter — strong strike packages; less pure mobility than Vortex but brutal when supported
- Battle Tank — front-line ground bully with gunner / rumble-seat potential and massive health
- MAC Tank — medium tank with AA options and flexible cannons; facility spawn dependent
Jeeps, ATVs, artillery, Sub VLS, and navy pieces fill niches. Full rankings live on the vehicles page; directional plate detail lives on Vehicle armor.
Armor meta snapshot
Armor is the quiet half of every loadout. Uber Armor offers high HP with perk growth. Extreme VIP suits lean into survivability packages for players who buy premium passes. Light / EXO armor trades bulk for mobility and Tactical Cloak. Assassin Cloak favors flanks and flag steals but takes harsher cloaked damage after softens like v22.2.22. Challenger’s Armour doubles score/CP as a glass cannon. Details and matchups are on Armor.
How to use tiers without wasting Battle Score
- Unlock a reliable primary before exotic VIP or FX chase weapons.
- Learn one air and one ground vehicle deeply instead of dabbling in ten—and learn which armor face to show.
- Match armor to role—flag runner vs tank escort vs rooftop sniper.
- Revisit lists after major patches summarized on Updates / Recent patches.
- Cross-check VIP value on Players and Anniversary VIP so you do not buy passes that duplicate free Uber rewards.
New pilots should also read Battle Score and Controls so mechanical skill keeps pace with unlocks. Meta pages help you spend; guides help you aim.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Base Wars codes, VIP, loadouts, and combat.
Which tier list should I read first?
Weapons if you play mostly infantry, Vehicles if you live in jets and tanks, or Armor if you keep dying before your gun matters. Most players should skim all three.
Do VIP weapons automatically sit in S tier?
No. Uber Chaingun, Epic Striker, and FX chase guns can be strong, but map sense and Battle Score unlocks still decide fights. VIP removes gates; it does not replace aim.
How often does the Base Wars meta change?
Whenever balance patches land—new Rebel variants, Holofoil quests, Assassin cloak softens, and vehicle armor tweaks can shuffle mid tiers. Check Updates and Recent patches after major version notes.
Is Vortex still the best vehicle?
Vortex remains a top air pick for agility, but Shadow, attack helicopters, Battle Tank, and MAC Tank all contest S/A depending on map, facing, and team coordination.
Should beginners buy Extreme VIP for armor?
Not first. Finish free Ammo VIP and Uber VIP attendance, learn maps, then review the VIP guide—and Anniversary VIP only if you specifically want FX chase kits.
